What a great place to be a painter! The Big Island has one of the most diverse climates on earth. From snow covered mountains to black sand beaches and all the in between… Jungles, rainforests, deserts and old plantation towns. With pure light and often changing climates you can never lack for inspiration. "Old Roads of Hawaii" commemorates the carriage roads little found by tourists. "Emerald Pond" is an elusive and seductive pond heated by the volcanic tunnels. Hills and valleys although reminiscent of other lands have their own exotic majesty and mystery in Hawaii.
