These lushly rendered paintings have been inspired by trips
to the open markets and fourty years of living in
Hawaii. The portraits of Polynesian beauties, "aunties"
and regulars who make up the lively and colorful
scenes of many cultures, with their flowers and
produce, show the viewer that even an everyday event
can be sumptuous in the Islands. |
