The paintings in this series are exuberant in their elegant
quest to fulfill every inch of the canvas with a spectrum of colors
so alive and realistic as to beckon the viewer to lean closer and
smell the flowers! This series truly lives up to its title, "Profusion".
They are rich dramatic tablescapes, incorporating a melange of interesting
items ranging from Japanese glass floats, antique carved pipes, seashells
to Hawaiian hula dolls, collected by the artist on trips through Polynesia.
The play of these objects against the profusion of tropical florals
arranged in vintage vases is a delight in composition.
